Marking an Assessment

How to mark the parts of a FlashAcademy assessment that need teacher input and how your marks feed into the overall result.
Use this once learners have completed an assessment and the "ready to review" tab shows items waiting
for you. It walks through how the marking interface works step by step.

How to Mark an Assessment

Once an assessment is ready to mark, it will appear under the ‘Ready to review’ tab in the assessments section of the dashboard.

Listening and Reading

These sections are automatically marked by the system and a grade will already be assigned. Simply review the grade given and either:

Confirm the grade if you agree with it, or
Adjust the grade if you feel a different level is more appropriate.

Click Confirm when you are happy to move onto the next section.

Writing and Speaking

Writing and Speaking responses require teacher review. For each response, choose the grade you feel is most appropriate based on the learner’s performance, then click Confirm to continue.

AI-Assisted Marking

FlashAcademy also includes an AI-assisted marking feature for some packages. This is signified by a rainbow background around a marked response (as opposed to grey/green). This provides a suggested grade based on the learner’s response to help speed up the review process and support consistency in marking.

Teachers remain fully in control of the final grade and can:

Accept the AI-suggested grade,
Adjust the grade where needed, and
Review the learner’s full response before confirming.

Exporting Reports

Once all sections have been reviewed, you can export the final assessment report as a PDF to save to your device or share with colleagues.
